If you have access to video editing software, you can convert the file to mp3 or wav within minuets. I recomend you use shotcut, it is free to use and will get the job done in no time.

There has to be something simpler than shotcut!
Before the App Store came along (& the OSs advanced), I had about a dozen free mp3 “drag & drop” converters that worked in seconds.
The shotcut App is inscrutable to my simple brain — & really intended for video (if you don’t mind an embedded watermark imprinted on your creations).
Any simple “audio converter” app ideas?

It is read as an audiobook file no problem on the Smart Audiobook Player app (available in the play store), which I use for all my downloaded audiobooks
