Ever since James Lyle found an alternate dimension hidden in the stairwell of his workplace, things have been, well, weird. For one thing, when he’s not working the night shift, he’s battling killer mail carts and ravenous swarms of sticky notes. But if James is going to set his plane of existence right, he’ll need to defeat the corporate darkness he’s uncovered . . .

@Brighthammer - definitely true in my case. I dunno why mrcollins55 is saying it’s LGBTQ but I’ll take his word for it and just avoid it.
Gay stuff just aint my idea of a good time.

I read this story on RoyalRoal. I don’t remember a LGBTQ romance. It might have one, but it certainly isn’t a main plot point. The story is almost too exclusively focused grinding the very unique dungeon until there’s a major shift in the plot, and even then they’re too busy for much romance. The story is branching out to more characters at that point.

Finished book 2, while there are LGBT+ elements(the whole main cast) it’s non issue compared to how annoying the main character is and yet he constantly complains how annoying other people are despite the story not showing it that way(just trust me bro). Plus the hero worship he author has for his own characters by the end, reminding us how big damn heroes they are by having someone every fifteen minutes to mention that fact, a bit much.

the argument for LGBT blah blah the rest of the alphabet being added as a tag is kind of retarded. I havnt encountered any dudes buttfucking eachother so the what i consider “permission for grotesque vulgarity because we are a protected class of human” in the form of a “LGBT” tag really shoudlnt be applied here. i havent gotten throguh the whole thing but i havent considered anything overtly degenerate.

basically im taking all of “mrcollins55″’s reviews as some wounded lgbt+ warrior attempting to add his cause to everything and anything. sucks they have resorted to this.
to be clear, there is no descriptive degenerate garbage in this series so far, but im only halfwaythough this book.

There is some very minor gay/bi and polyamorous stuff going on…
But it seems more like side-plot armor for a vanishingly irrelevant romantic obstacle that’s just slapped together IMO.
Kinda like the author just couldnt decide so just went full send.
BTW, this dungeon and system is so unique and interesting (while not being needlessly complicated) that I give a pass to almost everything else. Seriously very fresh and compelling. Also the power creep is very well done and every little upgrade remains meaningful (or not lol) all the way till the end.
My only criticism having finished this is that the whole book is a bit of a side quest turned happy accident. Like a white elephant gift with immaculate wrapping and an entire party to present to the reader.
It may not be on anyone’s top 10 list, but probably a top 40.
Its a good pallette cleanser if you’re coming off of mainstream Fantasy or Sci-fi or you’re tired of a dozen generic LitRPGs and Progression Fantasies.
