Publisher’s Summary
The first comprehensive and authoritative history of the Koh-i Noor, arguably the most celebrated and mythologised jewel in the world, from the internationally acclaimed and best-selling historians William Dalrymple and Anita Anand.
On 29 March 1849, the 10-year-old Maharajah of the Punjab was ushered into the magnificent Mirrored Hall at the centre of the great Fort in Lahore. There, in a public ceremony, the frightened but dignified child handed over to the British East India Company in a formal act of submission not only swathes of the richest land in India but also arguably the single most valuable object in the subcontinent: the celebrated Koh-i-Noor diamond. The Mountain of Light.
Under commission from the British East India Company, gossip from Delhi bazaars was woven into what would become the accepted history of the Koh-i-Noor. Now, for the first time, 150 years after it was written, this version is finally challenged, freeing the diamond from the fog of mythology which has clung to it for so long. The resulting history is one of greed, conquest, murder, torture, colonialism and appropriation through an impressive slice of South and Central Asian history. Masterly, powerful and erudite, this is history at its most compelling and invigorating.

Great Audio Book! Thanks a lot, userabuser.

@userabuxe:
Nice uploads HOWEVER:
You have mixed up Title and Author on ALL your uploads!
PLEASE fix this.
Also: “Keywords” should be separated with a comma; otherwise they make one multi-word tag that does not link to anything.
Please join the forum so we can help.

Thank you so much

@Gweilo
Nope. The site has it wrong. The order of author/title info is mixed up on every single post in the site. Someone, please fix this. Nobody tags/names their books with title first. Some things in life should be pushed back against… This isn’t one of them.
btw, love ABBay!! (except for one niggling thing…) ;)

I think all works should be listed as
Author - Work
Please adjust all your other listings and when mine are showing up wrong THEN I will go back and change all of mine.
Your parsing algorithm for keywords should use a space instead of a comma. Please fix this.
Keep up the good work!

@userabuser: I’m sorry, I can’t change how the site works and neither can you.
When you upload you have a slot that says “Audiobook Title”. That’s where you put the title.
And “Author(s)” is where you put author.
How the webpage presents that data is another thing.
Putting the wrong information on your torrents makes it impossible to be consistent.
There are 40,000 torrents on the site over the last 10 years, thousands of uploaders. Not just you.
You might join the forum and make your case there rather than messing up the database by inputting wrong information.
And as for keywords, again, that’s how it works. Comma delimited allows for multi-word tags, e.g. protagonist and series names; spaces do not.
Consequence: all your keywords link to nothing. The “Related audiobooks” are not related to your books, just the default, most recent books.
You can put whatever text you like in the “Description”. Just get the basic information correct.
By the way, this book is not a “novel”. We do have a “History” category.
I thought these mistakes were oversights, never imagined anyone would deliberately scramble their pages.
Guess I should have taken your name literally.

@steepcreep:
If you ever uploaded a book here, you would see there is a slot for “Title” and one for “Author”.
Putting the wrong information in these slots is just perverse.
So this torrent now says “Written by Koh-i-Noor: The History of the World’s Most Infamous Diamond”.
The author’s name makes a link, so of course that does not link to books by either author now; it just links back to this page.

I do understand that Gweilo, and it is unfortunate. You know as well as I do, that which precipitates change is necessarily painful. People don’t do things unless they absolutely HAVE to. Perhaps the one charged with editing the database (I’m guessing that’s you) will say maybe it’s time to update the code so it presents the info in line with the ‘meta’. Because, now that you mention it, I see it is not a database problem (fixing would be a major undertaking), but simply an html problem (30 secs tops to repair). In fact, this is such a basic error, I wonder how it could have been overlooked for 10 years.
In spite of that, still love ABBay!!
March 11th, 2019
@steepcreep Yeah, well you’d better get onto Amazon, Penguin and every other major publisher about how they format their book info pages too, because they all have title first.
Most book covers do too, unless it’s a big name like Stephen King.
Logically, because the book is the unique subject of each page; not the author, who may be on many other pages. This page is about this book so that is the first thing listed.
Anyway, regardless of how it is displayed, corrupting the database because of personal preference is …. not community minded. If you’re in a country that drives on the left side of the road, you follow suit, whether you think it the best possible choice or not. You disagree, you try to change public opinion. You don’t barrel down the wrong lane and force everyone to make way.

OK. You are correct. I appreciate the time you took to elucidate. :-)
I think the reason why I tag and name the files like that is because an author can have more than one book.
eg. there is only one Mentats of Dune, but BH and KJA have written dozens of books together.
For me personally, this organizational method seems the most economical and easiest to assimilate in a single glance. My actual physical collection is also sorted author>title, but each to his own.
Cheers.

@steepcreep
Of course, when you are organising a collection, most use the author (for fiction anyway) first.
But the order you put books/files in doesn’t need to be the same as the order you present the metadata when you look at an individual book.

Instead of fighting on technicalities , can you please look into files that do not work. 9 out of 10 magnet do not work.

Requesting for two more books
1. The white Mughals - William Dalrymple
2. The last Mughal ( full version) - William Dalrymple
Pleaseeeee if you can.
